Suffice to say, the magazine was a joke among actual military and law enforcement personnel, but popular among mall ninjas, paramilitary wannabes, and militia movement types. Ran as a print magazine from 1975 to 2016 and still available as an online publication last I checked, Soldier of Fortune was basically a collection of articles and ads that were full of shameless fake machismo and blatant paramilitary woo, often with a right-wing stance.
